From an old door, to a blue screen…

 

Wind is the nemesis of those who wish to record outside. In a previous trip to Ti Tree we took harbor in the shed out the back of the school, out of the wind (kind of). There was a big old panel of plywood there, and this served nicely as a backdrop, with the curtain draped over it. This week we checked out the shed again, in blustery conditions, taking in the lack of access to power, and the creaking tin roof, the madly moving shade from the trees being whipped about in the wind… So we hoisted the bit of plywood onto the top of the hilux and took it inside the school. And there was our humble backdrop – believe it or not it looks pretty good through the camera!
